A Midsummer Night's Dream
A Midsummer Night's Dream, blends imaginative fancy with the stately
traditions of Athenian aristocracy. Tensions between youthful rebellion
against the hard realism of the State, and of the imagination against
rationality, give the play its timeless appeal. The Bard blends and
intertwines four plots together, thus blurs the distinction between
imagination and reality. In Santa Clara University's version of this
play, director Aldo Billingslea, skillfully weaves the multicultural
lifestyle of the Silicon Valley into the plot. There will be an optional
dinner before the play. To reserve, call Blair Cambra at 408-473-2205.
