Celebrate Spring with a Special TGIF at the Park Hyatt.
Winter will soon be behind us so be ready to experience the debut of Spring by attending a very special April 7th TGIF at the Park Hyatt, 333 Battery Street, from 6 to 9 p.m. Enjoy the beautiful views of San Francisco and the ambiance of this outstanding hotel. In addition to the good company, which makes every TGIF special, there will be good food and door prizes. It promises to be the perfect prescription for shaking off the winter blues.

TASTE at MECCA Restaurant

Sokol Blosser Winery, one of Oregon's finest and best known wineries will be pairing their award winning wines with the food from MECCA's new chef. Mike Fennelly brings his New Orleans roots and love of Asian flavors to the menu. Volunteer Appreciation Party 

Hey, MAX Volunteers! Celebrate getting your taxes done on time and join the MAX Board of Directors for our first volunteer appreciation party of the 1999-2000 MAX year. It will be an informal, old-fashion spaghetti party held at the home of Chairman Mark Sweeny on Saturday, April 15 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Mark's Mom is making homemade pasta sauce which was the specialty of his Nonni. If you have volunteered for a MAX event since October 1, your committee directors probably have already filled you in on the details. However, if you have not heard anything, give your Director a call. As a volunteer, you are very important to us and this is our way of saying thank you.

DAY AT THE RACES 
at Golden Gate Fields in Albany

MAX goes to the Winner's Circle! This Day At The Races includes admission to the track, racing program, a wonderful buffet lunch and seating in the exclusive Turf Club. The gates open at 11:30AM with Post Time scheduled for 12:45PM. With a cost of $25 for members and $30 for non-members you can't go wrong! Scott Todd at  938.3614 is handling reservations. You must mail your check to the MAX office by Thursday March 30th so tickets can be mailed to you. Indicate "Day At The Races" on the memo line of your check. If MAX gets 60 people to attend, a race will be named after MAX, and we might end up in the Winner's Circle for pictures!

Fantasia 2000

Come and enjoy the new Fantasia movie with MAXSouth. It's a completely updated version of the old chestnut, with new scenes and digital sound and the spectacular huge screen at the IMAX theater at the Tech Museum. Movie time is 2pm. Spring at Filoli Gardens

Spring is in the air as MAX returns to Filoli. A short drive south of San Francisco through the coastal redwoods delivers you to this exquisite mansion and formal gardens that are best experienced in the height of Spring. As a frequent backdrop for Dynasty and movies, Filoli is on a par with Buchart Gardens of Victoria, Canada. The event is sold out, but you can call John Krowka at  587.4899 to be put on the waitlist. MAX heads to Washington this Spring to participate in the "Millennium March on Washington for Equality" on Sunday, April 30. MAX will be attending the Gay Men's Chorus "Broadway Blockbusters" concert, featuring Megan Mullally, star of Will and Grace. You'll hear music from The Lion King, Miss Saigon, Chess, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, When Pigs Fly, Side Show, and many more.
