Casino Royale Benefit for Shanti

Enjoy a fun-filled evening of blackjack, craps and slot machines, cabaret-style entertainment, dancing and refreshments. A complimentary wine bar and a no-host cocktail bar will be provided. In addition to all this fun, there is a silent auction and a drawing that will include American Airlines travel. Tickets are $35.00 (Members / Guests) or you can be a sponsor of the event. Community Service Awards

MAXoutreach and Dolores Street Community Services (DSCS) invite you to Standing Room Only: Third Annual Awards Celebration at the John McMullen House and Garden where outstanding contributors to DSCS's mission will be honored. Join us for wine, hors d'oeuvres, a raffle, and a surprise guest. Tickets are $75.00 (Members / Guests) and valet parking will be provided. Sacramento Train Trip

Departing Amtrak's Richmond station, we'll be riding the Capitol Corridor Route to Sacramento to visit the California State Railroad Museum.    Admission to the museum is included in the price of the trip. This complex of six buildings is the largest interpretive railroad museum in the nation, with twenty-three restored locomotives and railroad cars from the 1860s to the 1960s. There'll be time for other sightseeing and lunch (no host). We'll leave Sacramento at 5:45 PM, returning to Richmond at 7:20 PM with snacks on board. Tickets are $35.00 (Members)/ $45.00 (Guests).

Gay Comedy Night at Piaf's

Hors d'oeurvres, drinks, comedy, and a free screw, all for $15 members/$17 guests. Join your MAX buds for a night of comedy at Piaf's. Hosts Nick Leonard and Larry-bob provide an evening of hilarious hijinks at Piaf's, new home of the Gay Comedy Showcase. Favorites like the Scott Capurro, Karen Ripley, Ken Miller, Pippi Lovestocking and the brilliant Bridget Schwartz (plus many, many newcomers) crack your cheeks and force a smile through. Marc Paruta is the champion for this event.

Whip It Good! Wednesday, May 16 at 6:30pm - The Cookbook Committee will stare in amazement as Charlie and Ian battle over the title of SpudQueen. Yes, that's right, come join us for our next chapter of the MAXcookbook Project. We'll be serving a delicious London Broil and two kinds of mashed potatoes - with some good cabernet - not to be missed. Community Center Tour & Brunch

Grab your cocktail glass and put on something hard! A hard hat, that is! San Francisco's new GLBT Community Center will host a summer brunch with bevy of special local celebrity guests from title-holding Leathermen to the Royalty of the Castro - plus a few surprises! Come join us for a festive brunch at Carta Café followed by an exclusive hard-hat tour of the Community Center building. This is your time to see the Center in it's final stages of completion and hopefully increase your pledge or become a founder. That's right, a final opportunity to rise to the next level as an original founder and be eternally recognized in the entrance of the building for your gracious philanthropic contribution.
