Shockheaded Peter at A.C.T.
A smash hit in London, New York, Washington, and elsewhere,
Shockheaded Peter is like nothing you've seen before. "Wonderfully
inventive," extolled the New York Times about this amusingly
macabre staging of the classic 19th century German children's book
Struwwelpeter (Slovenly Peter). Deliciously morbid,
cheerfully chilling, and always entertaining, Shockheaded Peter
illuminates Heinrich Hoffman's classic cautionary tales and his cast of
selfish, disobedient children with a whimsical and gruesomely hilarious
combination of puppetry, Victorian melodrama, and musical storytelling.
Book your orchestra seats for $56 for members or $67 guests with Dennis
Baker, 821-9363.
