MAX Booth at the Castro Street Fair

MAX draws a lot of interest at the street fairs, and this could be a way for you to meet new men! We talk to passers-by about MAX, many of whom have heard of us, and hand out information about MAX. Work a shift at the MAX booth and meet your future ex! It's always a great time and a fun stopping-off spot while you're at the Castro Street Fair. Call Jeff at  825.8522 to say you'll help setting up or manning the booth. He'll love you for it!

Nob Hill Tour

"Lives of the Rich and Famous" - 19th Century style!
Take a 2 hour walking tour with a MAX member of San Francisco's world renown Nob Hill, housing its most wealthy and colorful. Visit the site of the glittering and glitzy mansions of the nabobs and robber barons of the "Gilded Age" in the richest city in the West, all to perish precipitously in the earthquake and fire of 1906. Learn about the secret passageway under California Street, Jane Stanford's "poison plot," and "Mammy" Pleasant, the "Voodoo Queen." This 2 hour tour starts in front of the Stanford Court Hotel and will end up with an optional buffet lunch at the newly remodeled Fairmont Hotel's beautiful Laurel Court. Book your $20 member or $25 guest tour through Robert Manuel at  396-1859. The optional brunch is $17.00. To spare the voice of our guide, attendance is limited.

Then disclose your costume to the other attending spirits. Your guise and performance will be judged by category: Drag, Uniform, Leather, Survivor and, of course, Anything Goes.
