Thanks for visiting us here at MAXonline. Maxonline
first launched in November 1996, and since then we never realized what
impact this site would have to our members and to our guests.
The
MAXonline Web site reflects MAX's commitment to serving its members.
With just the click of your mouse, you can learn about the exciting
activities and programs MAX has to offer and understand that being part
of MAX is being part of a quality organization.
I first became a member in February 2005 (my
partner John and I) and
thought I wouldn't be involved with planning activities. I credit Jerry
Tuscan for my introduction to the East Bay Committee, only to discover
the fun and comrade of other MAX men, like dining out (thank you Michael
Weinberger) and TGIF's (thank Bryan Hawk, Larry Kolka and Jerry Tuscan)
or betting on the ponies (Thank you Scott Todd)... only to serve as the
East Bay Director.
During 2006-2007, we experienced a renewed enthusiasm in the East
Bay Committee and filled out the East Bay Calendar with activities like
Vodka Tasting, Mystery Tuesday, relocated East Bay TGIF to a great venue
at Barbary Lane at the Lake Merritt Hotel (thank you Dave Latina). A
special thanks to all members of the East Bay Committee for your efforts
and friendship and I look forward for bigger and better events to come.
I am excited to begin my year as Chairman for
2007-2008, with
rebuilding the San Francisco and North Bay Committee (thank you Robert Beadle for
saying 'Yes') and re-energizing ALL of MAX.
Please join us at the MAX Town Hall, the first of
many, October 20th, 2007, co-facilitated by myself and our excellent
Communication Director Tim Hart, for a work session of you and the board
and various committees, to 'air our laundry' as it were, to dream out
loud, remember our successes, improve our challenges and maintain the
luster of the MAX signature, what was, what is and what is to come.
It is also my pleasure to be Chairman during our
20th Anniversary. We are setting October 2008 as the month to celebrate
this major milestone! Along the way, we do "this" and "that" in addition
to all the wine tasting (thank you Paul Mugnier)
As MAX members, we are all volunteers in this
great organization... Please don't be bashful to step up and say "I want
to help"...
As a side note... please feel free to email me or
call me or IM me. I am eddiekeator on Yahoo Messenger, 33107 on ICQ, and
eddiekeator or 510-931-6380 on SKYPE as well as
email: chairman@maxonline.org.
Permit me to introduce the MAX Board of Directors
for 2007-2008.

MAXonline has information on all MAX committees. Check out the
descriptions (available from the links at the left of each page). If
you're the kind of guy who enjoys meeting new people, consider
volunteering to help with an event. It's the easiest way to make new
friends in MAX!
