MAX ARTS COMMITTEE PRESENTS:

Please arrive by 9:30 AM at the Filoli parking lot. The docents will start the escorted tour in groups of 15 as we arrive.

FROM SAN FRANCISCO:

1. Drive south from San Francisco on Highway 280.

2. Pass Highway 92 Exit (Hayward and Half Moon Bay Exits) and a few more miles to second exit (EDGEWOOD ROAD).

3. Bear right onto Edgewood Road (west, toward the mountains), a few hundred feet to intersection with CANADA ROAD.

4. At CANADA ROAD, TURN RIGHT (north) and go 1 ¼ miles until you see the second chain link gate on the left.

5. Pass through Filoli security gate, reservation is under DENNIS BAKER.

NOTE: If you drive south on Bayshore Boulevard (Highway 101) instead of on Highway 280, exit Highway 101 at Highway 92 west, toward Half Moon Bay. Continue up into hills, and take Highway 280 south toward San Jose, but exit at the Edgewood exit as mentioned in item 3 (above).

After our visit to Filoli, we will have an optional lunch together at the MIWOK SHELTER AREA IN HUDDART PARK. Try to meet around 12:30 PM; Cost is $15 for a box lunch and wine/sodas.

1. From the Filoli exit, TURN RIGHT (south) ONTO CANADA ROAD all the way to the village of Woodside. You will pass: (1) Edgewood Road (2) Highway 280 underpass, (3) Highway 280 on your right for a few miles (4) another Highway 280 underpass (5) Two stop signs (6) Stop sign at the end of Canada Road, as you enter Woodside Village, across from Roberts Grocery Store.

2. At the stop sign across from Roberts Grocery Store, TURN HARD RIGHT ONTO Highway 84 (Woodside Road), passing a small country shopping center on your right.

Make a RIGHT turn onto KINGS MOUNTAIN ROAD.

4. Proceed up Kings Mountain Road for 2.4 miles to the entrance to HUDDART PARK. There is a $4.00 per car entrance fee. Follow the Park directions to the MIWOK Shelter area. NOTE: No dogs or pets allowed.
