MAXscene is produced in Adobe Acrobat PDF format, and you'll need the Acrobat Reader to view it. See the TIPS below about how to get the Reader.
  • Viewing or downloading MAXscene will take some time depending upon the speed of your Internet connection. (Note: it will take up to 5 minutes to load into the Acrobat Reader if you are on a dial-up connection. You might not see any activity while it is downloading.)

  • To download an issue of MAXscene for later viewing:
    • On a PC, right-click a picture (above) and choose "Save Target As..."
    • On a Mac, choose to save the file for later viewing.

The PDF files are about 1MB in size, and will take about 5 minutes to download if you are on dialup, but only 25 seconds on a high-speed connection.

Tips about viewing and saving PDF files:

  • When you click to view a PDF file, it will probably be presented in your browser window. Many people prefer for it to be viewed in a separate window. You can do this by:
    • Open Adobe Acrobat Reader
    • Click Edit > Preferences > General > Options
    • Uncheck "Display PDF in Browser"

  • AOL Users: If your download window is blank after downloading, there might be a hidden Acrobat window behind your AOL windows. Click AOL in the task bar (normally at the bottom of your screen) to minimize the AOL windows. This will reveal any hidden Acrobat window that may be waiting for a reply before you can continue in AOL.

  • If you don't have the Acrobat Reader, you can download the reader. It is a large program.

  • If MAXscene does not appear to display correctly in your Acrobat Reader, you may need a more recent version of Acrobat Reader.  DOWNLOAD READER

  • To save a PDF file, you can directly download it, as described above (right-click the link.)
Or, while viewing a PDF file, you can click
"File > Save a copy" and save it in a folder where you can find it later.

  • If you are using an older Mac computer, you might receive a message that says you need to configure a Helper Application. In most cases, you can choose to save the file, and view it later.
