Fundamentals of Sketch
and Figure Drawing Class
Instruction will include some still life, perspective, and
fundamentals of drawing and sketching, with the majority of time spent
on figure sketching the male nude. Instructor Les Barnett has tremendous
insight into figure drawing and is willing to share his experience with
us as we learn and experiment with this form of drawing. While he wants
us to learn from this experience he knows that this can be a fun and
casual way to spend time together and enjoy ourselves in a constructive
manner. He anticipates that we will have a good time and learn something
in the process.
Barnett is a graduate of The Cooper Union, New York City. He studied
in both the U.S. and Europe and was the creative head of a New York and
San Francisco communications firm. He directed the work of artists such
as Norman Rockwell and Andy Warhol and has had recent exhibits in New
York’s Soho and Chelsea.
Participants can bring their own lunches or order a deli lunch.
Admission is $35.00 (Members) / $45.00 (Guests). Contact Ken Wrasse at 591-1546 for further information including a list of absolute
must-have items for the class. Participants can bring their own supplies
or let Ken buy them and purchase them from Ken at his cost - estimated
under $10.00. (VENUE: TBA)
