New Member Dinner in San Francisco
MAX holds a monthly New Member Dinner to which you are invited, even
if you're not yet a member. If you are a new member or considering
membership in MAX and would like to meet some other fun guys, you'll
have a great time at our monthly dinner party. It will be a simple
dinner prepared as a team effort by all those who attend. The cost is
about $10 and will be shared by attendees. What we usually do is take
some group photos, organize teams to prepare dinner, hear a short
presentation about MAX, and talk around the dinner table and get to know
each other. If you're interested,
send us an email. We'll let you know if there's space left and give
you all the details.

Artist Marty McCorkle: One Man Show
You will see many fine DISPLAYED OIL ON CANVAS works by talented
regional artist Marty McCorkle and get your portrait done by the artist.
During the evening, McCorkle will demonstrate his process on computer by
producing color print portraits plus a CD copy, BOTH for you to take
home, from photos he will take of you if you are willing (included in
the price of the event). For the photo you may wear a
costume, fashionable clothing, casual threads, or nothing at all--it's
up to you! This is an unusual opportunity to participate in the creation
of art and take both a specialized computer print out and a CD of the
image as your property. McCorkle will bring his specialized computer,
software program, printer, projector, and camera to create distinctly
different versions of his subjects, the event participants.
Preview how McCorkle
smuggles new technology onto the traditional canvas at
http://www.factory5.com.
